In Zone Students
All students who live in our home zone shall be eligible to enrol at Naenae Intermediate. Out-of-zone enrolments are subject to a ballot process.

If you live within our home zone please call in to see us at 100 Walters Street, Naenae to discuss enrolment with our Deputy Principal. We will have enrolment forms available at our office later in Term 2. You will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport, and proof of address: a recent (less than two months old) utility bill for an in zone property in the names of the parent/legal guardian of the student, or a completed tenancy agreement for an in zone property in the names of the parent/legal guardian of the student.
Out of Zone Students Enrolment Scheme
If you do not live within the home zone specified in the school’s enrolment scheme you are still welcome to submit an out of zone enrolment application. Please complete the online enrolment form above, or pick up an enrolment form from our office at 100 Walters Street, Naenae.
Your application will be subject to the selection procedure specified in the Education and Training Act 2020.
The Act states that first priority must be given to students who meet the criteria for enrolment in an approved special programme run by the school. Our school has no such programme.
Second priority must be given to siblings of current students.
Third priority must be given to siblings of former students.
Fourth priority must be given to children of former students.
Fifth priority must be given to children of board employees or board members.
Sixth priority must be given to all other students.
Applications for out of zone enrolments will close on Friday 11 September 2027.
In situations where the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available for out of zone students, selection will be by ballot. If a ballot is required at our school, it will be held on Wednesday 18 September 2026 and will be supervised by a sworn member of the Police.
The school will notify you regarding the outcome of the ballot by Monday 19 October 2026. If your application has been successful, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance or rejection of the offered place within 14 days (Monday 2 November 2026). If you do not respond within the 14 day period, the place will be offered to the first person on the waiting list established by the ballot.
