WHAT'S ON
NIS Sport
The sport programme is extensive; we offer a wide range of sports.
In order to provide a full sports programme, NIS has many teachers who are passionate about sport and are keen on helping you grow in the sports offered here at NIS. Building stronger relationships with our local community, who provide hands-on assistance throughout all sports, is a continual focus of our school. We are lucky to have a large group of parent and community volunteers who help coach and manage. If you’re new to our NIS sporting whanau and would like to help out, then please let Mr Grant Yarrall know.
We encourage all students to play a sport - whether it be social or competitive. We play in both local sports tournaments and are associated with WRISSA for a range of different sports.

Coaches/Managers/Helpers - Let Us Know!
Parent and community support is needed for sport at Naenae Intermediate to be successful.
NIS has a sports policy that also states that every team must have a coach and manager. Teams with inadequate supervision will not be entered into Sport Competitions.
If you, or someone you know is able to help with coaching, managing or umpiring/refereeing a sports team, please indicate your interest by emailing: staff@naenaeint.school.nz
Please note all School Volunteers are required to complete a confidential NZ Police Vet form and must be fully vaccinated.
